Book Mrutyunjaya Homa
Mrutyunjaya Homa is a Shiva homa centred on the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra, the great “conqueror of death” verse from the Rigveda. Offerings are made into the fire while the mantra is chanted the prescribed number of times, seeking protection from untimely death, recovery from serious illness and freedom from fear and doshas.
When is Mrutyunjaya Homa performed?
Performed during serious illness, accident recovery, on birthdays, during difficult dasha periods, or when the horoscope indicates a threat to health or longevity. As a Shiva homa it is also widely done through Shravan (Sawan), especially on Shravan Somvar (Mondays).
