Book Shani Shaanti
Shani Shaanti is performed to pacify Lord Shani (Saturn), whose influence during Sade Sati or dhaiya can bring delays, hardship and health troubles. The vidhi combines Shani japa of the prescribed number of mantras, tila (sesame) offerings and homa, seeking Shani’s grace so his lessons are borne with less difficulty.
When is Shani Shaanti performed?
Performed during Sade Sati, the seven-and-a-half-year Saturn transit, during Shani dhaiya, or on Saturdays for those with an afflicted Saturn.
