Samagri & Dakshina Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
We believe in honest, upfront pricing. This page explains exactly what the starting price of a puja covers, and what is treated as an optional add-on.
1. What the price includes
- The pandit's dakshina for one pandit performing the listed ritual.
- All listed samagri — the puja materials required for that ritual (for example: kalash, havan samagri, mango leaves, coconut, panchamrit, ritual kit), brought by the pandit.
- Travel within city limits for the assigned pandit.
2. What is charged separately
The following are not part of the starting price and, where applicable, are shown clearly before you pay:
- Additional pandits for larger ceremonies (e.g. weddings, yaagas).
- Long-distance / outstation travel beyond city limits, and any stay arrangements.
- Premium or special samagri you specifically request beyond the standard ritual kit.
- Items customarily arranged by the host family (e.g. fruits, flowers, prasad ingredients for distribution, seating, or a fire-safe space for homa) — we will tell you in advance what to keep ready.
3. Samagri quality & substitutions
We use clean, ritually appropriate materials. If a specific item is unavailable, the pandit may use an accepted traditional substitute in keeping with correct vidhi. If you have specific sampradaya requirements, tell us when booking so we can plan accordingly.
4. Dakshina over and above the price
Any additional dakshina you wish to offer the pandit personally, as a gesture of respect, is entirely voluntary and separate from the booking price. It is never required.
5. Confirming the inclusions for your booking
Before you pay the advance, we share an itemised, all-inclusive quote for your specific puja, city and language. If anything is unclear, ask us on WhatsApp at +91 89513 58916.
