This policy explains what information Pandit For You collects when you use our website or request a service, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
- Details you provide — your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email, city, address (for the ceremony), the puja and date/time you request, language/tradition, and any notes you share.
- Astrology consultation details — if you request a kundli or astrology consultation, you may optionally share birth date, birth time, birth place, questions and guidance topics. For matching, you may also share a partner’s birth details only with that person’s permission.
- Pandit application details — if you apply to join the network, the public form collects the profile, contact, city, language, tradition, experience and ritual-service details you choose to submit.
- Communications — messages you send us over WhatsApp, phone, email or our enquiry form.
- Usage data — we do not currently load a third-party web-analytics service. If that changes, we will update this notice and implement any required consent or objection controls before collection.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and coordinate your booking.
- To propose and brief an available pandit, and to arrange confirmed samagri and travel.
- To coordinate an astrology enquiry and share the information needed with the assigned practitioner.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders and reschedule updates.
- To review a pandit application, contact the applicant and discuss suitable service enquiries.
- To improve our services and, where you have not opted out, to share relevant offers.
3. Sharing with third parties
Our team handles the information needed to respond and coordinate your request. We share only what is necessary to deliver a booking or consultation — for example, the assigned pandit receives ceremony details and the assigned astrology practitioner may receive the birth details and questions needed for the session. We may use trusted service providers, including payment, messaging and hosting providers, who process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
4. WhatsApp & messaging
When you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages — including any birth or partner details you include — pass through WhatsApp and are handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We use the information you send to assist with your booking or consultation.
If you submit another person’s information, you confirm that you have their permission to share it for this purpose. Either person may ask us to correct or delete it using the contact details below.
The public pandit-registration form does not request Aadhaar or another identity document. Do not send sensitive identification unsolicited. If our team later requests a document, ask about its purpose, transfer method and retention before deciding whether to provide it.
5. Data retention
We retain booking, contact and applicant information for as long as needed to provide our services, review the application and meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of promotional messages at any time. To make a request, email care@panditforyou.com.
