Sattvik pooja catering & temple-style prasadam

Feed your guests the way a temple kitchen would. Book the pandit, samagri and a no onion-garlic meal in one go — or just the food. Prepared through our partner matha and temple kitchens in Bengaluru and North Karnataka, and served right after the purnahuti or mangalarati.

Puja + catering — the way most families book

A homa or Griha Pravesh ends with prasadam and a meal for everyone who came. Planning the pandit and the food separately is where timings slip. We plan both together:

1Pandit & samagri

The assigned pandit, agreed vidhi and standard samagri for your puja or homa.

2Sattvik catering

Prasadam and meal prepared through partner matha and temple kitchens, served when the ceremony ends.

3One quote, one thread

Pandit, samagri and food planned together on WhatsApp, with one written quote before payment.

Temple-style prasadam menu

Choose from the prasadam served in South Indian temple kitchens (madappalli). Your final menu, quantities and serving style are confirmed in your written quote.

Tradition note: temple prasadam follows loose patterns — Vishnu temples are known for puliyogare and pongal, Devi (Amman) temples for sakkarai pongal, Murugan temples for panchamirtham, and Shiva temples often keep to simpler offerings. Temple food is traditionally sattvik: no onion, garlic or non-vegetarian ingredients. Tell us your sampradaya and we plan accordingly.

How catering booking works

  1. Share the occasion, date, approximate guests, venue and menu style — and whether you also need the pandit.
  2. We propose a menu and serving plan with the partner kitchen, timed to your muhurat.
  3. You receive an itemised written quote covering food, serving and, if booked, the pandit and samagri.
  4. Confirm with the advance stated in your quote; the prasadam and meal are served when the ceremony ends.

Frequently asked questions

Is the food sattvik — no onion and no garlic?

Yes. Pooja menus are planned as sattvik vegetarian meals without onion or garlic. Where an item usually contains them, the kitchen prepares the sattvik version or suggests a swap. The final menu is confirmed in your written quote.

Who prepares the food?

Meals and prasadam are prepared through partner matha and temple kitchens and sattvik cooks we work with near your venue. Your quote states the kitchen arrangement, whether food is cooked on site or delivered, and the serving staff included.

Can I book catering and the pandit together?

Yes — that is the most popular way to book. We arrange the pandit, samagri and catering in one WhatsApp thread and time the prasadam and meal to the end of the ceremony. You get one written quote covering both.

Can I book only catering or only prasadam?

Yes. Catering, prasad boxes and bulk prasadam can be booked on their own for home ceremonies, temple or matha events and festivals.

Do you serve on banana leaves?

Yes, a banana-leaf (bale ele) meal can be arranged. Leaves or plates, seating style, serving staff and clean-up are confirmed in your quote.

Do you cater for shraddh, tithi and Brahmana bhojana?

Yes. Share your family tradition and the items to include or avoid. The meal is prepared to that list and served to the priests first, as your custom requires.

How much does pooja catering cost?

It depends on the menu, number of guests, serving style, venue and date, so we do not publish a fixed per-plate rate. Share these details and we send an itemised written quote before you pay any advance.

Which areas do you cater in?

Bengaluru and nearby North Karnataka, including Hubballi–Dharwad, Ballari and Hosapete. For another town nearby, ask us and we confirm whether a partner kitchen can serve it.

How early should I book?

As early as you can, especially for festival days and popular housewarming muhurats. Share your date and approximate guest count and we confirm availability.
