Deep daan — the offering of lit lamps — is a cherished act of devotion, performed at Ayodhya (the birthplace of Lord Ram) or floated on the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj. It is offered for family blessings, to honour the departed, or to mark a vow, with the sankalp taken in your name.
How your family takes part — from anywhere
- Tell us the ritual, the holy place and the names & gotra of your family (and of the departed, for ancestral rites) on WhatsApp.
- We confirm the local pandit, date, ritual scope, availability and final written price.
- If live video is available for that booking, you join while the sankalp is taken in your name; otherwise we confirm what photos or recording can be provided.
- Before payment, we confirm whether prasad or tirth-jal is available and whether it can be couriered to your destination.

Pandit availability, ritual access, live video, recording, prasad, tirth-jal and courier eligibility are confirmed separately for each booking. Temple authorities control entry, darshan and on-site rules.
The ritual, step by step
- Sankalp in your name and gotra for the intended blessing.
- Preparation and lighting of the deeps (lamps).
- Offering / floating of the lamps at the holy place with mantras.
- Any available photographs or completion details shared as agreed for the booking.

Yes — the sankalp can name the departed, offering light for their soul’s journey. Tell us when booking.
How many lamps are offered?
You choose the number when booking; the quote reflects it. Even a modest offering carries the full intent of the daan.
