Pavamana Homa is a purificatory fire ritual based on the Pavamana Sukta (the Punyaha-vachana and purifying hymns of the Vedas) that cleanses persons, homes and objects of accumulated doshas and inauspiciousness. Ghee and prescribed offerings are made through the fire with the pavamana mantras to sanctify and restore purity before or after major life events.
